Use a square image of at least 512×512 pixels for best results. Smaller source images will be upscaled, which may look blurry at larger favicon sizes.

Does the tool generate .ico files?

Currently the tool generates PNG files, which are preferred by modern browsers. For legacy .ico support, you can use the downloaded 16×16 and 32×32 PNGs with an online ICO packager.

Which sizes are required for Apple devices?

The 180×180 PNG is the Apple Touch Icon size used by iPhones and iPads when a user adds your site to their home screen. It is referenced by the apple-touch-icon link tag in the provided HTML.

Where should I put the favicon files on my server?

Place them in the root directory of your website (e.g., https://example.com/favicon-32x32.png). This matches the paths in the generated HTML code snippet.

Are my images uploaded to a server?
